I was a major skeptic of solar. I'd tell the door knocking salesmen that I didn't believe the technology was viable. Then I talked to a hot young sales lady who I couldn't turn away. She showed me the numbers and gave a company guarantee of annual savings, so I went through with it and had 17 panels installed. It's worked out well so far.

That said, we should never consider it a replacement energy source. It's supplemental, nothing more.
