I was just telling a friend today why they were pushing electric cars. It's not because of "climate change", it's because electric cars are easier to restrict than fossil fuel vehicles.
He didn't quite believe me.
EXACTLY!!! I totally think that's why we aren't seeing many gas cars being produced - they are going to push up the price of gas - and then "magically" produce a bunch of EV's on lots so people will buy them. NO THANKS!!
While I agree that they want to be able to control cars, I tend to believe the bigger "reward" for these ingrates pushing EVs just to keep people off the roads in general. Our power grid cannot handle a sudden change from gasoline to electric. They know that ... and they couldn't care less. Control of vehicles is a bonus. Hell, they can control most gasoline powered vehicles right now for the most part.
What fucking drives me bonkers is that there are many ways a traditional gas engine can be improved ... if one could control valves w/o a cam, you'd open up a ridiculous number of ways to conserve fuel depending on driving conditions. The problem is that all auto manufacturers have basically stopped all research into improving gasoline engines. They've gone full retard with EVs ... mainly due to government regulation bullshit. Some smaller companies are making engines with this kind of technology, but it doesn't have a prayer of making it to market ... even if they could somehow bump up the numbers they produce, you still have oil companies that would be horrified seeing trucks and cars getting 60, 70, 80 MPG or more.
Moreover, these freaks obsessed with "greenhouse gasses" ... those emissions plummet when a catalytic converter warms up. If these fucking degenerates were truly concerned about the environment as well as freedom for people to drive, they'd be more into plug-in hybrids ... you could start the vehicle in electric mode, let the catalytic converter warm up, then switch to gasoline if you have to. If your commute is short, you can stay in electric mode. Most greenies hate PHEVs MORE than gas engines since the whiney little faggots aren't getting everything they want and realize that they're a pretty solid solution to this "problem".
I do like the idea of hybrids and PHEVs as long as they aren't able to be remotely stopped by authorities.
They can remotely stop any newer vehicle regardless of it's engine.
One other thing that just occurred to me ... I could see these freaks doing something where they make it illegal to charge your EV at home ... if they ever feel the peons are getting too uppity, they'll shut down the charging stations.
