Yes, and I'm sorry if I'm coming across as snarky.
Whether it's bacteria or viruses, it all falls into the germ theory category. I think the most-developed (non-mainstream) theory for the Black Death's cause is something celestially-sourced. I've heard this applied to influenza too, possibly related to the annual Fall meteor showers.
I don't 'know', but I know enough to not believe any of what we're being told by MSM, politicians and certainly not the billionaires benefitting from the pharma $.
Could you share something that talks more about alternative theories to germ theory? It sounds fascinating.
Humanity has always found out that things they were so sure about are actually not true and it has always made me wonder if we don't know as much about viruses and bacteria as we think we do given the arrogance of today's biologists on the topic.
I've doubted germ theory for years but couldn't comprehend why people seemed to get sick from others. I watched a bunch of videos by Dr. Samantha Bailey then read the book she co-authored. I see no conclusive explanation for what appears to be contagion but there are compelling theories. What is clear though, is that science has not proven germ theory even after almost two centuries. Many of their experiments were complete duds, leaving one to wonder why we keep believing in it.

I agree with your sentiment, there is plenty of proof of science BS and pain for profit. However, you know that bacteria are not viruses right?
