I told a stranger at a neighboring pump to expect over $5 by the end of March. As I heard other people gripping about the price, I shouted in a booming voice, “This is because you sat on your asses when a political party stole a presidential election.” It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop as I got in my car and drove off.
Those of you who are paying more, feel free to vent.
I live near Houston Texas. Our fuel is generally a bit cheaper than other states because the crude came from west Texas, was refined in East Texas and then stored in a nearby storage facility in Texas. Under Trump I remember paying just over $1.20/gallon. Now, it's above $3.50 in many stations. This isn't being caused by inflation or transportation issues. This is intentional.
