I’ve come to accept that the US government, in partnership with MIC and others, is an extremely evil mafia. They demand oil be sold in USD, which other countries must buy from US, which the US simply prints out of thin air. Don’t like it? End up like Saddam or Gaddafi (spelling?). They have genocided millions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and many other Middle Eastern countries. All in the name of oil, power, money. I’m not saying any other superpower is any better. They’d probably do it too if they were the most powerful. This ends when every single citizen of the world goes on strike and the entire machine grinds to a halt.
