They killed Steve Jobs because he never wanted the iPhone to begin with... let alone people telling him what features should be in the device. Apple (the company) was his baby, the iPhone wasn’t truly and he’d only be in the way when it came to acquiescing to overlords. Sure he lasted during launch phase up until the iPhone 4S... but Jobs’ was a perfectionist who controlled everything down to the screws that were used and after he died Tim Cook took over and has been serving his masters just fine ever since.
