My family is divided on the damn vaccine debate - my wife amd 2 daughters all think I am nuts - anyway my wife Got 1 shot 6 months ago and seems fine - my daughters want to get it because of social peer pressure. It is crazy that I’ve made it this far and after two years they’re still pushing me to get it even though the Covid narrative is dying off - my current situation is my 15-year-old daughter just got accepted to a three week creative writing program at Columbia University this summer. Of course they require a vaccine. My family understandably is uncomfortable with submitting a fake card so now we are left with a medical or religious exemption- my wife and child are not very religious and feel as though writing that exemption form would be lying - They are OK if I can get a medical exemption for her- she does have asthma
- anyway I don’t know if anyone has a Teladoc type of resource where I could have them sign off on a medical exemption form. Or if it’s anywhere in the Midwest I can drive there to meet the doctor- please pray for my daughter please pray for my family - I want her to be safe - thanks for any help Or recommendations. - I emailed frontline doctors on Thursday amd no response Yet

You are better off claiming a religious exemption. You do not even have to be a church goer. You can also be the only person that believes as you do. You simply state that your strongly held religious beliefs are conflicting with the policies set forth by your employer and that you are notifying them of this conflict and that you are exempt. It is not a request for an exception. They can ask questions, but they cannot ask too many questions as it is then considered harrasement. Read Title VII of the civil rights act now.
I am seconding this. From my efforts it looks like they want a very specific medical reason if you go the medical exemption route because they can't ever admit that the vaccines aren't 100% safe and necessary. I recommend watching a few short videos on the "The Healthy American Peggy Hall" youtube channel. She has a lot of videos talking about religious exemptions. She also offers a concierge service but it isn't necessary.
Threatening the university with a lawsuit might work
Here's a list of doctors who will correctly treat COVID infections (scroll down for US doctors) Perhaps you can do a consult with one who is licensed in your state? Since they are willing to buck the government protocols they might be Ok with doing a medical exemption based on a consult.
