30 + amps is needed to charge for several hours to full charge. Now multiply that by X amount of electric cars and add all that too summer or winter time when A/C's or Heater's are running and you get Blackouts or you get stranded where ever you are until they let you charge your car.
Or just charge your car during nighttime when the industry demand is much lighter. Powegrid is mostly strained during daytime, and for EV owners to charge their cars during nighttime is just common sense. Also this article is old as hell.
