I think he's making fun of Jen Psaki. This was a totally different style of writing from Clif. I'm not sure it was him.

I agree with you, Clif doesn't use metaphor that much, and he certainly doesn't milk it for multiple paragraphs.

I hate these types of teaser stories "big news coming in two days" and then you never hear anything big enough to justify the flash and flair. BUT, admittedly, I'd say pick any date this month of March Madness and expect some big news and you'd be right. :D
