Realise that it is a call for many to pray at once, which is very powerful. When the Pope prays many others join in. I am very suspicious of this Pope, and he is likely to stir controversy with everything he does. On the face of it, however, it is fulfilling an angelic wish from a prophecy, that has remained unfulfilled for around one hundred years.
Re: Mary. I understand that women are strictly outside of the holy trinity, but Christians have always incorporated local deities. For example, all the wells named after Mary, and the sainthood of Bridget in Ireland. People can observe those ancient traditions and remain Christian. A shrine dedicated to Mary often recognises a local feminine deity with a possibly pagan origin. The Christians absorb the older religions. - So in that way, one can perceive the strange machination of this Pope.
But I shall look to this Fatima phenomenon as a good thing, because "The Blue Army is made up of Catholics and non-Catholics who believe that by dedicating themselves to daily prayer (specifically, of the Rosary), they can help to achieve world peace and put an end to the error of communism"
