On his way out, Ramthun said Vos asked him not to participate.
"This is what Iโve been dealing with now for 17 months," he said. "Obstruction on top of obstruction to do the right thing.โ
Returning about a half hour later, Ramthun questioned why the press wasn't allowed in the closed-door meeting.
"I really think you should be in there to witness what's going on," he told reporters.
"I'm not a conspiracy theorist," he continued. "I'm focused on truth. And I need closure for myself and for my state and for my nation. This is a question about our Republic."
"I think there's people in that room that were involved that don't want to see closure on this as why they've been obstructing all along," Ramthun continued. He added that Vos was among a long list of people obstructing the effort to decertify the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin.
"There are some people who think that the legislature has a unilateral ability to overturn the election," Vos said after the meeting. "We do not."
"I think there was widespread fraud, and I think we are going to see more and more data that comes out as (former state Supreme Court Justice and GOP-appointed special counsel Michael Gableman) continues his investigation," Vos continued.
Adam Steen, who is challenging Vos in the Republican primary for the Assembly, also joined the crowd lingering outside the meeting room Wednesday to argue the gathering should have been held in public. He said if elected heโll push for a vote that seeks to decertify the 2020 election.
โWhat I would like to see is a roll-call vote in the Assembly so that we can prove whether or not the Assembly, the representatives, are listening to the people,โ he said.
Steen said lawmakers need to eliminate early and mail voting for most people, while making those options available to the elderly and military voters. He called his plan straightforward.
โEight words โ are you ready?โ he said. โOn paper, in person, hand count, one day.โ
Just a wild theory, but what if it's not YET time to decertify? Maybe they have to wait for something? Vos was with Trump at his Alabama rally, and I'd love to know what they talked about. Something is just too strange with all of this for it to be taken at face value. Same with the GOP in Georgia. There is more to it all, and I'm not going to trash anyone anymore when I don't know, for sure, what role they are playing in all of this.
I think there are many suspicious eyes focused on anyone appearing to be a RINO. Vos checks the boxes with his relationships with Paul Ryan, and Rience Priebus,
Having said that, today's media statement allowed Vos to claim that there was widespread fraud in Wisconsin while softening it by saying, but we still can't -de-certify. The MSM has run with the "can't de-certify" headlines.
I agree that this could change. We shall see.
As far as timing goes, it is my understanding that if Trump is back with less than 2 years remaining in the current resident's term, Trump can run again in 2024 and get 6 +/- years. If Trump is back sooner, he can only finish out the current term and not run again in 2024. If that is correct, than I think the best timing is right after the mid-terms.
This would also be a huge rally cry to use in the general this fall and it will ensure massive turnout in the mid-term elections.
With no evidence supporting the existence widespread fraud, more Republicans are becoming confident in the accuracy of the 2020 election, with 38% saying they are confident now while 29% said they were confident in August 2021, according to the latest Marquette Law School Poll.
I agree! I am pretty sure Marquette Law School Poll had Biden way up pre-election. They are a completely fake outfit. Like so many pollsters they just try to shape voter opinions, rather than measure them.
There are some people who think that the legislature has a unilateral ability to overturn the election," Vos said after the meeting. "We do not."
If the legislature has the unilateral ability to CERTIFY an election... then you have the unilateral ability to UN-CERTIFY it.

Yep. I can't see them decertifying for this reason. Trump doesn't want 2 years, and he'll need more than 2.
Is there a Mi.win?
Thanks, I did try, found it for sale, said not a safe site.
