Strangely enough... it seems to be mostly low and middle income people who REJECTED the vax.
The ones who seemed to be the most gung-ho about taking the vax are professionals, like doctors, nurses, scientists, engineers, businessmen, bankers, etc... . Also, military are 95% vaxed in a nation where the population is only 60%+/- vaxed.
Most country music artist are either all about the vax or they are silent out of fear. It’s only a few I know that has spoken out.
Carrier Underwood
Travis Tritt
John Rich
Jason Aldean & wife are vocal but I have my doubts about them. They are selling tshirts (anti, patriotic & FJB)
Travis Tritt is the only one that is doing something. He said he wouldn’t play at venues that require medical information.
Kid Rock said he would show up if the venue requires it.
I’m not aware of other genres & if artist are speaking out.
This is my problem with the entire mess. You buy your tickets and on the website you have to accept mandates. Sure the artist might not play. Then you have to go through the aggravation of selling your ticket, if they aren’t refunding. Only way to refund is artist cancels!
I was going to a local place in Raleigh in January to see an artist. It’s basically a bar with a stage. At the last minute they said mask required at all times! (Fear of omicron)
It’s just not worth my time and aggravation. Two years since I’ve been & it’s ok. I’m not supporting people that a silent.
One of my favorite artist was on the cover of billboard getting the vax. I don’t personally know his political views, he doesn’t rant about that. I do believe he just wanted to get back on stage. It’s Eric Church, he says he doesn’t watch TV or anything that’s like that. He either reads, listens to music or is writing music.
It’s just a perfect example we should never put our faith in celebrities! Sure I’ve been to a hell of a lot of concerts but I know they aren’t any better than I am.
I do believe some are getting paid to promote the vac.
Many studies have shown that the "vaXXX hesitant" population has a high %age of highly educated people as well....Before the Death vaXXX, highly-educated professionals were also very well-represented among the "anti-vaxers".
On the other hand...It also makes sense that folks who are doing very well in the establishment professions/economy would be more willing to trust the establishment on vaccines....While low-income types, who have seen the establishment's ass and know it in a way that the upper class cannot, would be less likely to trust the establishment
Oh yeah, the equity issue. Because POC are more affected by COVID. After two years of jiggering statistics, it could be so, or maybe not--but there's still a victim class ready to fight about it.
