Yeah, I haven’t heard anyone say that either. I shared it because it’s funny.
But I don’t live in a big city and don’t anyone in a big city. The few I do know are acquaintance‘s I’ve met over years at social events. These people probably don’t have a clue what’s about to happen with shortages.
I agree not very smart. We might run out of food before we run out of guns. (Family hunts & just believe in protection. We aren’t holding shooting range events.)
So we live in the county far, far outskirts of a mid-sized Southern city and nearly everyone I know in my circle is armed and know how to use them. But if the city denizens ever venture out here hoping to score food from the bumpkins, they would be in for a disappointment.
OMG, anon.... NYC??!! Oh wow. All I can say is blessings on you to keep safe during whatever is coming. Have you considered bailing out of NYC and heading somewhere more rural and less densely populated? You're right about the EBT class, they are largely intolerant and impatient, have poor impulse control, and if they want or need it, they feel entitled to it.... even if it means killing a few inconvenient "oppressors" to get it.
I don't know how y'all in the NYC area arm yourselves, as I've heard firearms are hard to get there. Legal ones, anyway. Just keep in mind that there will be no Rambo's or loners who will save themselves, a better way is to find neighbors you can trust and band together for mutual protection against zombie hordes coming your way.
I feel fortunate to live down South, and away from the nearest city, a small-ish one but with its own inner-city dysfunctions that we see on the nightly news. I can only imagine what scenes of horrors go on in the EBT class areas of NYC.
Well to be fair, I've never heard a city dweller actually say that. But it wbe ill advised to try it.

Either way, that's NOT gonna work out well for them.....
Just sayin.
