A Russian friend just sent me videos of the concert in Moscow. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the number of participants in the rally in Moscow in support of Russian army, at the stadium and beyond, has already exceeded 200,000 people. This is the largest rally in the Moscow in a very long time.
I saw in the background https://files.catbox.moe/sktxa3.png:
Za мир без нацизма
(For a world without Nazism)
За Россию
(For Russia)
I'm not sure why they substituted the Roman Z for the Cyrillic З, but maybe it was for the rest of the world and not Russian speakers.
So they spray paint east and west on their tanks? Seems kinda... not believable
In the heat of the battle, when two regiments are cooperating, the soldiers need a simple way of identifying each other and finding their commanding officer, which the big white letters enable them to do. Most Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine are conscripts and by my own experience, their IQ levels leave a lot to be desired. Therefore, paint big white letters on tanks so the stupid cannon fodder can find their steel caskets faster.
