Just another reason to stop watching this series. The GF and I are both huge Star Trek fans and have been somewhat disgusted by the absolute and cringe-worthy wokeness of Discovery. I didn't know it was this cow acting as Earth's president until I read this here but, I did think to myself that she looked familiar. I'm done with this version of Star Trek, hopefully the next one won't be so woke.
Don't count on it not being woke for a while. The shithead they have playing Pike in that new series coming out is a flaming liberal ... it's bound to be hot, stinking garbage. They'll make the first season acceptable, but it's the second or third season where they will go gonzo with nonsense.
I thought Discovery's first season was boring and pointless. The second season was kind of interesting, but that was mainly due to nostalgia with Pike showing up with the Enterprise.
I retired from viewing that franchise after the second season. I also gave up on Picard after 15-20 minutes of the premier. It isn't worth wasting the electricity to download anymore of it nor is it worth the miniscule damage that occurs when you flip a bit on an SSD.
I'm hoping they wipe out all of this shit someday by stating all of it took place in some alternate universe where retards ruled the universe or something. I'd kill them all off with transvestite Borg or Gay Klingons on acid. Maybe both come to think of it.
You have to work overtime to fuck up Star Trek as bad as these clowns have been doing it. It's like they told the Star Wars crew to hold their beers or something. It isn't even science fiction anymore ... it's basically progressive propaganda played out on a spaceship. The only questions you ask yourself after watching this trash are "Why?" and "Does someone get an award for making the most nonsensical garbage of the season.".
The only reason I have even peeked at Picard was because of Jeri Ryan. Still pretty hot for an older bird. As for Discovery, I was curious how the season would end, although I was close to quitting it several times. I'm done now. Hopefully many others are, too. You're right about the writing, pretty lame, overall. Somewhere along the way "get woke, go broke" will hit them but, until then I won't watch anything Star Trek, beside the original, of course.
"... I'd kill them all off with transvestite Borg or Gay Klingons on acid. Maybe both come to think of it. ...". π Great commentary, thx.
I was rooting for the Confederation on Picard Season 2. That's how bad it's gotten.
