Indian folklore says an eagle flying overhead is a good omen...but it has to fly DIRECTLY overhead...not just within your line of vision.

They are everywhere around the river here, their numbers have greatly improved since DDT made egg shells soft.
I see them along the Ohio River when out in the boat. One of my favorite things to see. Thanks for sharing.

I’m jealous. We used to have a lot of bald eagles living nearby but no longer. I miss seeing and hearing them daily.
The population of them really has bounced back. I used to see them all the time when I lived on coast in Washington, but am so glad I’m seeing them here in the East. I feel Ya! 😎
