Seems as though "eternal" and "everlasting" are the same translation.
Trying to find the site I used now but that link you posted shows it is the same word. Regardless of the semantics here of everlasting vs eternal, it doesn’t align with the following scriptures that Jesus spoke about eternal life and perishing.

There is strong evidence for what you claim but, think about it this way; being cast into the lake of fire is total destruction, whether you are alive or not. Why risk being wrong? Especially when that burden is so light?
