I believe that the information available is not the fault of a person, but it is each person's responsibility to seek truth or rule out lies everywhere possible, aka discernment. They have to WANT to. Otherwise, the desire to prefer being in the dark even when clues are available with just a little research and to remain comfortable is a form of gluttony IMO.
