There's a follow up tweet in the thread after the OP where dude screencapped a live cam shot of the WH South Lawn. It's gray, rainy and all together miserable.

I saw it and didn't doubt it. The grass is way too green in the photo above for this time of year. My point was in regard to the two magnolias gracing each side of the White House. They typically maintain their green leaves during the winter as seen in this snowy capture:
