This is interesting to me because Original Sin was gaining knowledge of "good and evil" from eating the forbidden fruit denying access to the tree of life for us. This is also interesting to me in that it is written that only God is good so everything else must be evil. If everything but God is evil then we are all evil for not being God. Tie that in with the law in the days of Jesus that declared the top men as God's "mans law". If you hate the action of a person you will eventually hate the person preforming the action.
It is also written that God is the only Judge and for the serpent to "trick" man into gaining such "insight". With "knowledge" of good and evil one might feel it appropriate for themselves to make law for their fellow man to follow which is, from my gatherings, the biggest no no to God. How many times will we turn ourselves over to the rule of man? He is a Good and Giving God and will never fail on his promise that if we want it we can have it.
I wonder how they get us to want man's law over God's!
The Bible also tells us to hate evil.
We can forgive and love our enemies, but we must hate it when they commit evil.
