On a technical level of what the true word of God is i agree that it is the original text. But am i to believe there is no way for anyone who doesnt read hebrew and greek to read scripture? Surely even a translation that may not be able to convey every word from the original language as well still can convey the overarching truth of Christ’s life, death for our sins and resurrection. I think what matters more than whether we call Him Yeshua or Jesus is what is in our hearts when we do so.
Your comparison makes no sense. And i didnt say His true name didnt matter and I certainly didnt say call Him whatever you want...i simply said calling Him by the name and spelling His name is translated to in anyones particular language is hardly some transgression that should be condemned. Again where is the persons heart, what is their intent? The bible even says as much that the Lord judges our hearts along side our acts. Coincidentally (or maybe not) this is also the basis for determining whether a crime has been committed (actus reus and mens rea).
But you also refused to answer my question: Am i to believe that no one can come to know Christ and grow in their relationship through an English translation of the Bible? Are those who never read the Hebrew and Greek original manuscripts doomed? Certainly there is importance for the understanding of the original texts but its hardly necessary for understanding the sacrifice of Christ and being able to accept him as your savior. God bless.
