Because people who saw it mo the ago may get hope that it's another fissure in the damn and no just repeating something that a non-FDA doctor presented at an open forum half a year ago.
Label it as such or mention it. For the rest of us who keep up with things, stuff like this is a pain in the ass while everyone else who makes a post keeps it current (or have someone in the comments call it out.)
Usually are posting old news,, and falsely at that as this was not FDA saying it, rather a doctor in an open forum held by FDA. So you post old news and post it under false pretenses.

It's fine posting something again, its not cool to not tell people it's old news. It's as simple as adding the date.
Then don't present it as new and put a disclaimer on it that it's old.
