You cannot forgive someone for a crime they committed against another. Only the one who has been accosted can forgive crimes against them.

What I'd be willing to forgive is Hunter's gross acts of corruption against the American People.

Those are the only crimes in which I have been harmed, so they are the only ones I can forgive. If he is truly repentant, then it is in my best interest to forgive him if only so he can right the wrongs by assisting White Hats take down the traitors.

We must love our enemies and offer them chances to clean up their own messes such that we don't have to do the cleaning ourselves. It's hard to sweep up your mess when you're hanging from the gallows.
