From the absolute mess that segment was, it sounded like the data was denied on objection but the receipt was allowed to be put up for "unanimous vote" to be added to the record. Maybe the vote wasn't unanimous? And who objected? What were their stated fears/guilt objections?
Everyone was, and still is, saying the laptop (or it's data.. there was no laptop) was added to the record but I don't think they were listening. To be fair, it was hard to hear. Between Nadler talking over Gaetz and whoever butting in to ask if it was their turn yet (what are THEY hiding?) it was a wreck.
A copy of the hard drive but for all intensive purposes that is the computer. If you take a hard drive out of the computer and just hand over the laptop well you don't have anything do you?
I thought I read that the demo-rats stopped it going into the record or maybe it was that it went into the committee record but not the congressional record.
I read it as they changed the wording of the proposal to request that the files contained on the laptop would be entered into the Federal Record.
I did wonder how they would enter a piece of hardware into it.
Correct.
Gaetz today transmitted his copy to Nadler for entry into the committee record. I don't think it will be public for some time.

Yes I saw them stop Jerry Nadler but then I heard later Nadler put it into the record.
It's definitely about cyber security and there was no reason not to enter it other than they don't want it to be in the public records.

I hope we find out
I believe i read it was put into the House record.
