So what is the true reason for the Antarctic Treaty?

The Third Reich "ends" in May of 1945.

Operation Paperclip begins 6 weeks later in August of '45. Evil Nazi scientists are brought to America and begin to infiltrate our medical and intelligence communities.

CDC established in 1946.

Roswell crash in July of 1947.

CIA and DOD are established three months later on September 18th, 1947.

Israel is formed in 1948.

Mossad established in 1949.

NSA established in 1952.

Area 51 built in 1955.

NASA established in 1958.

Operation Paperclip ends in 1959.

The Antarctic Treaty is drafted in 1959 an signed into effect in 1961.

One theory, put up by the decoding symbols guy on wordpress, is that Antarctica is ... fake. Or at least mostly fake. Definitely some islands. But it's been used as a secret comm for so long that it's simply more useful that way. Antarctica in the press is used as an infiltration comm. The main points in his argument are the simple unreasonableness of 1) international agreement, never violated, 2) completely impossible to verify. Deception Island is another clue.
