FL's DeSantis floats idea of revoking Disneyworld's "special governance status," what's that? I didn't know, so, naturally, being a Qtard, I researched it. HUH—since 1967, Disney received a "special governance zone" that's (appropriately enough) the size of San Francisco. Revoke this groomer empire!

As a Florida citizen, I will happily vote for whatever forces Disney and any other businesses - including Indian casinos - to follow the same laws as everyone else.
must disagree. sorry. But native tribes are considered a sovereign nation.. Like it or not they can run their own tribal lands. And that includes the casinos on Their land. I've lived next to the Mukelshoot Indian Reservation an I'm super happy they have the casinos to help with their schools, law enforcement etc. Instead of living on a "welfare" check.
Cool.. we disagree.. I would be all for repealing any laws that give them any 'exclusive' freedoms that others don't have. Like, it should be legal for anyone to open a casino.
It should be, but I don’t see how removing the freedom of others, would increase your freedom. Sounds like you just want it to be “equal”
I never quite understood the concept of the Native American ‘sovereign nation’ land idea.
My understanding is quite limited, but it follows this particular logic…
If the native population are given such rights, based specifically due to their race/culture/ethnicity. Why can’t this apply to others as well?
Why do we have a 2 tier system in this country? 2 sets of Laws?
Can I identify as a Native American?
If there is intermarriage, which is all too common, at what point or how far back can I go an ‘claim’ I am of Native heritage and take advantage of such laws.
Glad to answer your questions. The land here "belonged" to the natives when europeans got here so they have a right to some of this land. ONLY FAIR. We do have treaties with some of the tribes. And their reservations are sovereign. They have their own police force and their own courts, etc.
You have to prove you are 1/4 native to take advantage of the benefits. The US government gives "royalties" to the tribes for the land we "stole". That check is Substantial for some tribes like the ones in Alaska. (OIL)
You must not live in country or not near a reservation. I had to drive thru a reservation Many many times and one rule was Never drive at night if you were female and don't stop if you don't Have to. But that was a long time ago. Look up Narcissa Whitman from WA state. She was a piece of work let me tell ya.!!
Very interesting, thanks for the write up fren!
Our federal government, through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, gives the all the tribes HUNDREDS of millions of dollars per year. If that isn’t “welfare” I don’t know what is. 🤷🏻♀️

reparations for "their" land
I realize your point and I might agree except that every single nation in existence was once someone else’s land.
p.s. didn't say I agree. It's just a fact, like it or not
