I was mentioning an - ism. ....... it seems you are confirming your own bias when the " argument" is turned around.
The worst part of a-theism is those that think it is an ism at all. The funny part is they have no clue as to how risible it is.

How can the absence of your position be an ism? As soon as is is added, the simple rule is that it is usually carried by assholes.
Think: capitalism, socialism, communism, environmentalism, and it is a great propaganda tool to placate anyone with an ism.

Damn! It is simply amazing how wrong you are. You fail to even consider the wording you are using. belief? Do you have any idea what you are saying? Yes, you may think you know because you checked your dictionary or you maintain what you were taught. But you do not have a clue what it actually means, as the word itself is compounded by BE and LIEF? The physical manifestation of praise, and if you would care to investigate, you will find ge-laube laube, lauberhütten = soekot. How can you even use these terms in relation to no-thing with the no-presence?
Then what wisdom are you conveying, and what knowledge is there in using words you are a-gnostic about?

Im doubtful reddit was the cause.
I recall the rise of New Atheism, and the obnoxious, loud and assertiveness of it. Anyone who had a basic sincere faith could see it was using all the wrong mindsets and was bound to fail. I tried interacting with a few people caught up in the hysteria of it to determine sincerity, but most were highly emotional, reactive, irrational, or arrogant and hateful. When i saw that i stepped back to let it rise and fall, and that it did.
Reddit probably aided in speeding up its rise and fall.
It wasn't atheism but anti theism.
