Sadly, I think you may be right. I do not exactly know what the tipping point between ADE and AIDS is but, by the looks of him, it is reminiscent of that Tom Hanks movie where played an AIDS victim.
from my understanding AIDS is when your immune system is weakened to the point where you just can't fight off infections, whereas ADE is when a virus uses antibodies to infect cells easier.
I understand ADE as a run away immune system that lacks the correct protein signal that shuts down the immune response, thus the inflammation goes unabated plus fever and what is left of the killer T-cells start attacking the organs or any tissue it sees as a threat which is the whole body at that point.
