A lot of talk in this article about the Russians and their proverbial harsh treatment of enemies. years ago I read and article about German civilians and the harsh treatment they received. a German father asked why they were rapping his daughter and a Russian soldier replied there was and old Russian Proverb, "Bread for Bread, Blood for Blood." Hard but considering the environment they live in to them its perfectly acceptable.
