For the cheaper breads in my area of Michigan you are now paying 4 dollars a loaf.
Good thing I have 100# of flour and a crapton of yeast. I can make sourdough bread on an open fire using nothing but a stick and a bowl. Wish I had a couple milk cows to go with my chickens and roaster rabbits.
Goats are cheaper. I fucking hate goat milk. It was super common when visiting family ranches in Mexico as a kid for them to have goats but only one actually had a cow.
Wheat destroys your gut, stock up on healthier grains or beans instead. Besides this is probably by design to destroy the meat industry which seems to be completely under attack lately. How many millions of chickens did we just kill over bird flu?
We are currently the fifth largest wheat producing country in the world that could go up if Farmers chose to grow wheat instead of soybeans which is a higher cash crop.
I am not going to worry about the US not having enough wheat
I live in a farm State I also know that half the crop land sits in summer fallow every year.
For the beer lovers out there, that's going to put a major hit on beer production, especially for craft breweries. See also, certain brands of whiskeys and vodkas if they're grain based.
That is what I have done also. Have several 5 lb bags. We don't eat a lot of processed food or grains so it was the best solution for us. We usually have a few protein shakes a week anyway so it is more appealing than canned meats that we never eat.
But even that increases the feed price and the price of the livestock and eventually the meat. Every bit of this, fertilizer and whatever else, is going to hugely impact all of us.
I dont think the common folk understand how crazy things are about to get. Prepare now. Buy what you want and need now.

The US is a major food exporter. I doubt we buy a single grain of anything because we need it. Maybe because of some silly trade agreement...
good thing I'm on keto :)
Price of meat is going to triple.
Good thing I'm fat as fuck :)
Survival of the fattest.

They've often done that to animals sadly. (Culled them in masses due to an 'outbreak' or another crazy reason.) They've never cared for them.
Yep but imagine doing with with already looming threats of food shortages, just exasperating the problem.

Just throwing that out there.
Got muh wheat, oats, rice, beans and other stuff ready to go. Hard and soft red wheat
Umm don't we export wheat?
Buy whey protein powder it's cheap and you can get your aminos from it, good source of protein if you cant get any other form of protein.

Yep
I think Russian wheat is sub grade and imported for livestock feed.

Also dairy products.
Do we import wheat? I don't think so.
Since all humans have some level of allergy to wheat, just stop eating it.
