I just find it hard to dislike someone when they're so obviously hated by the liberals. a month ago, I would have said President Putin was corrupt and evil, but circumstances have changed.
Sometimes more research doesn't help. For example, everything I read about President Putin is bad, the only place I can find the truth (outside of Russian media itself) is here. So I try not to look at "facts" as much as their actions and who is openly against or for them.
There is something to be said about the phrase "He is making the right enemies."
I was in the Cold War for 20 years working tactical and strategic defense. Our "Adversary" was the Soviet Union. I had to understand why they did what they did and read up on Soviet military strategy and political history. I came to respect them profoundly. They have a different way of thinking. Aside from Communism, it is worth emulating. So, I had no prejudices against them once the Soviet Union collapsed (it did put me out of a line of work, though). I even worked in concert with Russians on the Sea Launch project. I have no use for the Vladimir Putin = Boris Badenov cartoon thinking, or the prejudice that seems to float around like sewage.
Kolomoisky is not one of the good guys. The mutual hatred is akin to between rival mafia dons.
