I read the wikipedia you linked. He's certainly a piece of work. I'm far from the situation, don't have any inside info or more trusted resources. It's just that manslaughter and murder are different for a reason. They both kill people and they are both crimes, and yet they are qualitatively different. In a similar way, sex with a 17-year old of the opposite sex is qualitatively different from sex with a physically undeveloped and prepubescent child. I don't justify this guy, and his story looks pretty bad to me from what I read. Even so, it doesn't remotely look like pedophilia to me, specially when comparing it to stuff we've seen in this forum on pizzagate, on Tom Hanks raping 8-year olds, and Jon Benet and stuff. So if you call it pedophilia, it's exaggerating his crime and diminishing the word's ability to describe the truly abominable and evil activities of the worst offenders. That's all.
