This is the "elite" dismissing anything that challenges them or their narrative.

I'm adding a bit more as the initial sentence came across as a throw away line. We aren't allowed to think for ourselves, we are told and expected to keep our heads down, do what we are told, produce what we are told, have our rights, our earnings, and our choices taken away -- we are to do this without argument. These people that know they are better, think they are operating under a type of modern divine right of kings natural right, we have no grounds to question them period, and we need to be grateful for their interaction and guidance in our lives otherwise we would be nothing without them.
