So... I went with my sister to a medical appt for her son today because he’s autistic and a handful. A fantastic handful but he dislikes doctors because he’s had a lot of tests in the past and could have gotten upset. He was a champ actually. Anyway, I was sitting in the waiting room and they had a big tv playing the Beauty and the Beast movie full volume and they were singing “Kill the Beast! kill the beast!” And then actively tried to kill the beast.
JFC..... nothing like some good, wholesome Disney, huh? I never paid attention before to words or songs. I don’t really even remember what I watched as a kid Disney-wise. It was shocking today to step inside that sick, violent world.
You ring a bell. I thought of "Hansel and Gretel." What can be more frightening than to be lured by a woman offering sweets, to a fate of imprisonment and being eaten? This was part of Grimm's Fairy Tales...and it is no joke to say that these are grim fairy tales. (I don't recall Disney doing anything involving Hansel and Gretel, and it may simply be a fact that some fairy tales are horror stories.)
Yes. Hansel and Gretel were horrors, the little demons. Greedy little useless shits. I hated that fairy tale, as it was a prime example of the demons winning.

It's almost like those who are trying to kill the Beast are the bad guys (regardless of how handsome they may be)
I feel like it was all a metaphor for something woke before woke was a thing. Blm. Beast lives matter....
