They had a section on the ASVAB (military's entrance test) for Pattern recognition at least when I took it.

There was a cool one as part of the Mensa test. It looked like a series of math questions, but once you figured the pattern to find the answers you didn't have to do the math! Thank god or else I wouldn't have done very well🐸

I once took a mensa test against a Sicilian. I was told to never bet against him. He died a poisoned death.
