I used it properly. To loose is to let go to lose is to not be able to find. Since hope is something we hold on to I chose loose for that reason. Have you seen my hope I lost it?

"loose" is not a verb. You can "let loose" of hope, but you cannot "loose" hope.
I think I know what you were trying to say, but the language just doesn't work that way.
It was in 1611 english
