Shanghai is the home of past premier Jiang Zemin. Apparently, he was really corrupt, embezzled over 4 trillion, and it would not surprise me if the Shanghai lockdowns is part of a deep cleaning there. I would even go so far to say that the Shanghai elites are part of the cabal but the Asian branch.

Maybe, it's also about having biolabs or hidden nukes there, too, threatening China to do the bidding of the death cult.
