treatment plants only test for a certain list of analytes. there are more chemicals by far that aren't tested for than are...I'd bet a lot of money venom is not tested for if there's even an accurate test to pick that up on a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer or other means of testing. most tests run this way apply varying levels of heat to the water to see what moves from a liquid state to a gaseous state. each blip and it's correlating temperature is said to tell you how much of various analytes exist. when new chemical bonds occur because atypical chemicals are present there's no telling exactly what is being made gaseous without some serious scientific baselines. and even then I am suspicious of results.
