“As officers scoured a Brooklyn neighborhood for a man who opened fire in a subway car, at least one security camera at a nearby station recorded nothing, thanks to “a malfunction,” Mayor Eric Adams said.
The issue was under investigation, Mr. Adams said, and officials were working to determine whether a single camera — or all of them — failed. One senior law enforcement official briefed on the investigation said on Tuesday afternoon that it appeared none were in full operation at the time of the shooting that morning.
The malfunction appeared to be a significant obstacle in the investigation, which by late Tuesday afternoon involved an expansive search for information throughout streets in Sunset Park and other parts of the city.”
Yeah, same thing happened at the Pentagon. Most video surveilled building on the planet at the time, all camera's off line one day. Weird how that happens.
Just like FBI can't track cell phones for election fraud. Seem to be able to for Jan 6th.
Maybe the Mayor of New York will recommend 'pulling the building' just to be safe.
^^^ EXACTLY THIS ^^^
It's "under investigation". So that's it, the issue will disappear.
Oh...
"Keep the change you filthy animal!"
“ You was here and you were smooching with my brother”
"And a Happy New Year. !"
Arkancide comes to mind. Epstein, anybody?
Okay so I posted this to ask a question. Does anyone have knowledge on what kind of camera system would be used in any sort of public cctv situation? I’ve installed IP cameras and the likelihood of them breaking is pretty damn low and even if you were to have one malfunction I’m sure the city would have a monitoring service set up to notice those malfunctions and get them fixed in a timely manner.
We now know we need camera watchers/hackers. We won't catch everything but we will catch something
