People get so hung up on semantics haha, and I wouldn't normally care but when facts are confused with theories, semantics unfortunately DO matter.
I used to get upset with people for arguing semantics with me and not appreciating my "obvious intent." In truth, I still do. :)
But words literally (I mean that literally (i.e. the literal definition of literal)) create our world; at least the human part of it. The strict definition of words and the sentence structure (grammar) used to string them together puts strict boundaries on our actions, thoughts, beliefs, reality, truth (lower case reality/truth, not Reality/Truth upper case).
Semantics matter. They matter a great deal. Once you start to see how The Matrix is created, you see that nothing matters more, at least with respect to understanding it and countering the brainwashing.
