Total disclosure, didn’t watch the video. Maxey is a pain in the ass, lots of talk, very little disclosure.

This situation does seem to become even more strange. The original story from two years ago said the repair shop guy cloned the hard drive. Now he is saying he copied the user file to an external drive.

Is it possible there are two very different things going on here? One is a copy of Hunter’s user file from the repair shop owner. The other is actually a cloned image of the hard drive. If the hard drive wasn’t properly overwritten and had deleted compressed files Maxey’s claim is plausible.

Remember nothing digital is ever really lost.

Plausible until you realize you can't fit 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag. Unless Hunter had his drive replaced with a larger one or they accessed Hunter's cloud storage, he couldn't have recovered that much...
