From a friend (who frequents this site as well) I have heard some unsettling things.
His child was in ICU 2-2.5 months post-COVID with a viral induced asthma attack. Stranger, other children (ages 2-4) from the same school/daycare were also hospitalized with the same. Almost at the same time.
My daughter (17 months old) is 2.5 months post COVID and has been very congested with a slight nightly cough for 2 months. It has been worse some days. I have also had constant congestion for a month and a half.
Just got word that a neighbor of my parents called an ambulance for their child who spiked a fever and went into seizure.
I’m at the point where I have to start thinking this isn’t pure coincidence. There is no data floating around out there nor is the media reporting anything (unfortunately this is the only way it becomes something People discuss, even here). I’d like to know if any others have had any similar experiences? All children are ok (except for the seizure as it happened just tonight).
Are you talking about children that were vaccinated. I cannot believe parents can be stupid enough to vaccinate children who had an almost 0 chance of being infected. If you are pregnant and get the vaccine you infect the child. You did not say weather these children are vaccinated or they are unvaccinated and are just getting sick.
No vaccines in any of these children. Only COVID positives
Are they around vaccinated adults for an extended period of time? For example, at daycare/preschool?
The reason I ask is bc reading this has me curious - my 3 yr old started daycare in February 2020 at 20 months old in TX and besides RSV in week 1, he was healthy all year even unmasked.
The first time post-Covid he was sick happened March/April 2021 - he had a nasty sinus infection which led to emergency surgery the day after Easter to stop constant nosebleeds from an unhealed scab inside nose. Coincidentally, this was around the same time most of the preschool staff were getting 2nd shot. From January 2022 til present (approximately 2-2.5 mo after the entire preschool staff started getting boosted), he’s had at least 2 nasty colds with congestion/cough which led to another sinus infection and also at least 2 stomach flu/viruses (never tested for Covid, could have been + but who knows). Before all this, he had taken antibiotics 1x in his lifetime post cleft repair surgery at 4 months old - despite the cleft, he’s never even had an ear infection as a baby/toddler.
So yes, these anecdotal stories are concerning and make me wonder…
My 2 grandchildren are in daycare and have all the childhood vaccines as their mother is a nurse practitioner. I did not vaccinate my children and I totally disagree with her childrearing philosophies. The baby (almost one) has had RSV four times. He seems like he always has a wet cough even when he is "well". At almost one he only says mama and Dada and seems to be very slow with motor skills. He really doesn't do a lot of things that babies do. His hands and feet can be white or purple but that does seem to be improving. He has been under the care of a cardiologist and is evidently okay but once when I babysat he exhibited sleep apnea. He has allergies and has skin problems. He has had the flu (after getting the flu shot) and their family had covid. The only positive in all this is that the family did not get the clot shots. I have just never seen a baby like this...sick all the time... and my heart just breaks for him. I try to promote alternate natural therapies for him but the mom just isn't into that. I hope with time his immune system can recover from all this. I really have never seen some of these things in a baby.
