Someone recommended ivermectin to heal GERD/acid reflux and I want to say thanks!

Feel about 90% better. I took 12mg once a day for 7 days. Not a medical recommendation, just a personal report.

I found that using IVM straight on the skin over the stomach. Works within minutes, along with a pinch of salt in a small glass of water, sipped slowly.

Seriously? Topical for what? A stomach ache. My wife seriously has the WORST stomach known to man and woman. Would it help for gastro cramp b.s. she deals with every time she eats.

Topical IVM for acid reflux.

Cramping can, however, be a sign of food sensitivity, if so, it doesn't go away until that food is avoided. I am not a doctor or nutrtionist, so do your own research, but from personal experience:

Keep a food and stomach playing up diary, so that you can figure it out.

At each step check out progress for at least 6 weeks, one might be lucky and find the magic sweet spot:

First step is to cut out sugars, including fruit juice, milk, beer, wine and soda. This will fix it for many people because all the sugars (sucrose, fructose, maltose & lactose also maltodextrin) are very allergenic. Sore stomach at first, but and can lead to secondary infections such a sinus infections and candida outbreaks. A milk allergy will show up as stomach ache and nausea with later ramifications in kidneys and joints.

Second step is to go after starches. So bread, potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, bananas. Some people do better if they don't eat starches at all, which can feel like they are fermenting instead of digesting. Brown rice and whole grains can be surprisingly sore, so the last one to go will prolly be white rice - that seems ok, but can be constipating if it eaten by itself.

Third step is Legumes. You know the meme about them making farts. Well that is because they are indigestible. Soy is a big dirty offender here.

Fourth step is to stop eating cabbage family, including brussel sprouts - very hard to digest. For some, onions and garlic come at this stage too. At this stage one can safely say that one is sensitive to fibre. After all the lies they have shoved down our throats, about fibre, that one is eye-opening.

Last step means only veg that seems all right are lettuce and maybe avocado and trust me, that gets super boring. Avocado can be iffy though, depending on source and export spray schedules.

What fixed it for me, is to cut out anything that did not come from an animal. So I am a dirty carnivore: I eat eggs, yoghurt and. cheese that is properly aged (not milk. however). My diet is 95% meat. The theory is to not have deal with all the cellulose that scrapes and injures the gut and all natural antifungals and intsecticides that perfectly healthy plants produce to protect themselves.

Occasionally I will eat fruits from the garden: plums, figs, berries etc. In my opinion those parts of the plant are meant to to be eaten, so that seeds can be spread. I recently had a few grapes that cause a belly ache though!

Could be parasites and inflammation causing her stomach issues in the first place. Has she tried Mectin yet or a plant based diet?

Glutamine is an amino acid that affects the processes of growth and function of cells in the stomach and intestines. https://www.drugs.com/mtm/glutamine.html (many other sources, of course, but my internet is running like molasses today).

I wonder if she has low potassium. I had an episode of severe stomach cramps that would wake me up in the night, it felt like my stomach was in spasm. Finally, I thought, wonder if my potassium is low. I sweat alot in the warmer months when taking my pup on long walks. Funny enough when I ate a banana every day, it subsided. It's just a thought. Hope she gets better.

My friend used to get severe stomach aches. After many useless trips to doctors, she went vegan and her problems went away. She recently had a good sensitivity test and found out she is severely allergic to beef. Like another person said, elimination diet could be the way to go.
