I was speaking about the Orthodox in America at that point before we shifted to Israel.
If you're running for office, every person's vote weighs the same. That's really the point I was trying to make.
To make things even more complex, the Secular Jews from Israel have Orthodox Jew status in the Jewish communities outside of Israel.
Israeli politics is a mess, and we haven't even scraped the tip of the iceberg.
