As an alternative understanding, some Christians believe that Jesus died, as the book of John says: as "propitiation for our sins". Propitiation is a big word but it basically means that Jesus was a kind of sacrifice whose death atoned (or allowed God to forgive) for our sins. That means that the death of Christ happened because of YOUR sin. And the sin of all people.
That blood "on their hands" actually, from a Biblical standpoint, represents Christ's healing forgivenss. It washes away our sin! So having Christ's blood on your hands does not bear a curse but the possibility for forgiveness!
Just as God has said that YOU deserve death and torment in Hell but offered you Christ's blood as forgiveness, the same may be said of all people. All deserve Hell, because we all sin and sin is what created the need for the sacrifice of the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ).
Happy Easter! If you have any questions about how to understand this message, or need some prayer, please DM me!
The Jews who had Jesus tortured and then crucified for "heresy" while they mocked him, were not purified by the experience. The Jews that sacrificed their children to Moloch weren't purified by their children's blood either. That is the most Satanic and disgusting lie I've ever heard.
I understand the message and your attempt to misrepresent it:
Jews attempted to manipulate Roman law to force Pilate to execute Jesus because they didn't like His "heresy"
Pilate did everything he could to set Jesus free including offering the Jews to set someone free (in the hope they would choose Jesus)
The Jews chose to release a deranged murderer and demanded Jesus be tortured and crucified
The Jews then mocked Jesus as he bled to death on the cross
Your sin mocks Jesus who died on the cross to save you from the consequences of it. Each sin you perform spits in the face of your Savior and makes you complicit in his murder. Without Jesus' sacrifice you would be bound for Hell. For the wages of your sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ Our Lord..
Though you fail to understand the miracle of Christ's death on the cross, it can still apply to you. But to put forward un-biblical dogma regarding Jews is to ignore your own sin. A gross blindness, indeed.
May the Lord show you humility and the depths of your own sin so you can be freed from the shackles of it. Amen.
