Russia is calling it WWIII because of how obvious it is that NATO is fighting a proxy war. The Russian 'Flagship' to my understanding was commissioned in 1982. That is a 40 year old ship. It was said it was within 30 Km of the Ukrainian coast. IMHO, a flagship wouldn't be within striking range of the coast line.It would be in the back of the other ships much further out at sea. Being so close to the coastline doesn't make any sense to me. It is also reported that all the crew was evacuated from the ship. I haven't read of anyone dying on that ship. Hmmmm, no casualties?
So, I ask this question. Did the Russians just create a 'Pearl Harbor" of their own to rally the Russian people?
