The people in the painting do look to be have a darker skin, but that could be down to the aging process of the paint used.
This was painted in the 1300's in Russia and in that period it would of been painted for Jesus and the disciples to be white men.
Zoom in to the facial features of those painted and look at the noses, they have European noses.
My church has an old painting from the 1300's and it's has a darker discolouration due to age.
They look like they have tan, or brown skin to me, but not black.
It's discolouration of the paint, they would of been painted a lighter colour.
Even paints we use today will go darker.
Have you ever seen old oil based white gloss for wood work on doors or architraves? After a while it goes yellow, give it a few hundred years it will go brown.

It's socially acceptable to tell law enforcement that a suspect is black or white. Who says brown.
The colors on the painting from the Pskov Museum look entirely different than the one posted. Filters on the one pictured above? Very likely.
They always do it, I've watched the black Hebrew Israelites for years and whenever I see a a picture they use as proof I do a dig into it and they always tamper with the picture to make the people look darker.
