U know, while u think your views are odd. It's actually quite comforting that someone has some logic to say it's gonna be alright. I hope you're right, and mind you I'm a person of color and o don't want America to lose its "whiteness" or Christian foundations. These lands are Christian in nature and have been for over 500 years now
My "odd racial views" more revolve around the fact I say Hispanics don't actually exist as a "race". The short version is, around 1950 or 1970, can't remember which at the moment, the census was changed to treat hispanics as a different race. Up until that point they where treated as either white or black, because they ARE either white or black.
We don't consider people from spain or portugal to not be white do we? Likewise people from africa to not be black. So why are latin american descendants of Spanish/Portuguese colonists and african slaves treated different from the rest of us? Took me a while to figure it out, but I've come to the conclusion its a long play tactic to divide us all and pit us against each other.
My reasoning is that, just like hispanics, Italians and Irish USED to be treated different on the census, as a means to divide and pit us against each other. And I don't know a single person who'd say Italians and Irish aren't just white.
But apparently whenever I bring this us it rustles feathers because I get downvoted every time.
Dude you make complete sense. Like there's nothing wrong with just being either white or black. It's just what it is. I think you got the nail on the head with it, and the Spanish race thing comes from a movement of Mexican heritage in the southwest wanting a counter culture to Anglo culture. I forget the guys name rn but if I find I'll share
