Oh it's started
Planting my vegetable garden this week.
lol... good luck with a veggie garden in Wisconsin.. it snowed again today... is there a good way to get seeds below the frost line?
Trusty green house or even starter boxes.
Someone who knows please tell me why rainwater seems to boost the plants so much they seem to grow twice as fast.
Is it cleaner? We are on a well.
Rainwater is free of fluoride, chlorine, etc. That's how much crap is in municipal water treatment.
Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Sodium Have All Been Detected In Rainwater.
....have you tested your well
No but that is a good idea!
Ph could be too high. Litmus strips.
I’m planting my first vegetable garden next month. It was freezing last night so still too early. My Father grew up on a farm and I wish he was here to guide me. So this 55 year old city girl will be growing vegetables this summer!
You remember more than you think. Trust me.
I started 50 plants in my basement with a cheap led Should be ready to plant outside in 3 weeks
And get friendly with your local farmers. They can provide you with chicken, pork, beef, eggs and vegetables. I buy in bulk so get a discount. Have almost a steer and a half in the freezer and the best eggs in the world. Just picked up 9 dozen when I went to get chops and ribs for the kids coming for spring break. Also have 18 quarts of green beans canned from last summer given to me by this same farmer. Purchased 3 bushels of purple Cherokee tomatoes from her too.
