He mentioned it was hard to innovate. I worked for the Federal government for almost 30 years and any real suggestion I put in would just be ignored. The Federal government (at least the agency I worked for) has a ridiculous contract with Sato travel agency to arrange all employee travel. I suggested that with all the ease of internet travel arrangements, they should do away with that contract and just let employees arrange their own travel. It got rejected at a very high level by someone who said, "current Federal regulations prohibit employees from arranging their own travel". Seriously! It's mind numbing how absurd things are in the Federal government!
